Terms of Service

By using FamScoop you agree to these terms. They exist so the community works for everyone.

Who can use FamScoop

You must be at least 18 and a parent, guardian, or caregiver of a kid. New signups are reviewed by an admin — most are approved within a few hours. We can decline or block accounts for any reason, and we will if the account is harmful to the community.

What you can post

• Honest experiences, questions, vents, wins, and recommendations.
• Anything you'd be comfortable saying to another parent at a kitchen table.

What you can't post

• Content involving the sexualization, exploitation, or endangerment of children — reported to law enforcement, full stop.
• Hate speech, harassment, doxxing, threats, or coordinated brigading of another user.
• Medical, legal, or financial advice presented as professional — you're a parent talking to other parents, not a doctor / lawyer / accountant.
• Spam, affiliate-link drops, MLM recruitment, or commercial promotion of unrelated products.
• Anything illegal in the United States, including content that violates someone else's copyright.

Anonymous posts

Anonymous posts hide your identity from other users. Our backend still logs who actually posted so we can act on abuse. Anonymous doesn't mean unaccountable.

Content ownership

You own what you post. You give FamScoop a non-exclusive license to display your content on the platform and in summaries (like the email digest, when it launches). We will never sell your content to a third party.

Moderation

We use a three-layer moderation system: automated pre-filters, community reports, and manual admin review. If your content is removed or your account is restricted, you'll see why in your Inbox.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time — email hello@famscoop.com. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Liability

FamScoop is provided "as is." We're a community platform, not a certified parenting expert. Decisions about your kids are yours alone.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced via the in-app inbox at least 14 days before they take effect.
